Summary

This section is where things really get wild. Up to this point, there were clues, suspense, a suspicious feeling. But now, we are waist deep in plot. Coraline travels through the mysterious door and encounters a world strikingly similar, but eerily different. On one hand, this new/same world can offer everything Coraline has been after, attention, adventure… But something is off and smartly she returns to her world. She finds both her parents gone and after more than a day passes, where she is utterly alone, Coraline learns that her parents were trapped by the other mother. Bravely she sets out to their aide. And confronting her other mother gets locked away into a dark cupboard and where the real part of the story is just getting started.
