Summary
So far we are pretty comfortable with these characters. We know them pretty well. A lot of focus is on Fudge of course. He causes a lot of chaos and his chaos is the source of a lot of action in the book. But what is also true is there are more subtle relationships at work. This section has a ton of major catastrophes. We have a babysitting gone wrong AND a birthday party gone wrong. Peter is our perspective as we read this book and he is pretty naive to his mother’s strain, but even in these pages you/ he can sense her exhaustion and impatience.
