Summary
Julien has assembled his army and now the “boy war” is officially on. What started as judgement and standoffishness is now full on hostile. After Jack punched Julien in the face, and action was taken, and apologies were given, a winter break threw the school balance into chaos. Julien throws a killer party, inviting everyone but a select few and alliances are made. To Jack, or anyone this could be hurtful. But after repairing his friendship with Auggie, and having the support of Summer and the help of Charlotte, Jack finds comfort in his new universe.
In this section we also get to meet Justin, Via’s boyfriend and learn more about him. One especially telling character trait was then he noticed Julien and his goons bullying Jack at the bus stop. Without any prompting, Julien takes it upon himself to defend Jack and stand up to the bullying.
